Both the SRM Family and the serial PlantLincTM RF modems utilize Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS) technology to offer the highest level of reliability and performance for wireless data transmission. PlantLinc serial radio modems operating in the 900 MHz band are ideal for short-range (up to 4 miles, km) communication.
For greater range, extended temperature, extreme interference or Ethernet communication, the 900 MHz and the 2.4 GHz SRM Family modems which employ Smart SpectrumTM proprietary frequency hopping technology are the data communication products of choice. The SRM6210E, SRM6310E and SRM6310E/EU are Class 1 Div 2 certified for use in hazardous environments. For projects requiring network diagnostics, Data-Linc's LincViewTM OPC Enhanced Diagnostics utility software is available for the SRM6xxx wireless modems in both the serial and Ethernet 900 MHz and the 2.4 GHz ISM bands.
For applications requiring higher speeds, Data-Linc offers the SRM7210E Wideband Frequency Hopping Ethernet radio modem with a data rate of 614 or 867 Kbps to ensure the highest possible throughput rate at long distances (up to 20 miles- 32 Km) farther with Repeaters.
For high-speed wireless Ethernet connectivity at moderate distances (up to 10 miles) using 2.4 GHz direct sequence technology, consider the 802.11 FastLinc Family which supports wireless bridge point-to-point, point-to-multipoint and industrial access point modes for Wi-Fi compliant communications.
