Updated 9 April 2009
The NET620 offers simple low cost bridging of serial and Ethernet devices. Each NET620 supports DF1 to Ethernet/IP, modbus RTU to modbus TCP/IP and serial binary to UDP or TCP/IP (terminal server). Setup to operational solution is fast and easy. (See the detailed data sheet and read the press release) updated January 16th, 2009 Hybrid Modems Now Available with EtherNet/IP to DF1/Modbus RTU bridgingSRM6x20 Hybrid Ethernet modems
The 900 MHz SRM6220 and the 2.4 GHz SRM6320 modems now offer not only UDP Ethernet to serial connectivity, but also feature Ethernet/IP to DF1/Modbus RTU bridging. This bridging allows legacy DF1 equipment to be incorporated into an EtherNet/IP network without adding intermediate devices. Only the modem is required for this integration thus reducing cost and increasing efficiency. The accompanying, SetLincTM software makes SRM6x20 configuration easy and intuitive. Data-Linc appoints new Southwest Regional Sales ManagerData-Linc Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Jim Garrard as the new Southwest Regional Sales Manager More... FastLinc Industrial Wireless Ethernet Modem Passes Extended Temperature TestsThe FastLinc 810E successfully passed extended temperature tests and will operate in environments ranging from - 40 to + 65 C. The high speed wireless Ethernet modem may be installed in extreme environments such as outdoor locations and factory floors without the need for special heating or cooling equipment. FastLinc 810E supports both IEEE 802.11b WiFi Access Point applications, and wireless network bridging using a secure "sniffer proof" RF technique providing a much higher level of security than typical 802.11b networks. For additional information, see the detailed specifications data sheet for the FLC810E, or read about the FastLinc 802.11b Family which includes a stand-alone and a PCMCIA card modem. Data-Linc Group expands its discrete/analog wireless multiplexer data communication line
Each DDAA multiplexer has eight discrete inputs and eight outputs, as well as eight analog (4-20mA) inputs and outputs. The DD1000 has the same specifications but offers only the discrete function. Read more about the DD1000 or DDAA1000 wireless multiplexers for the 2.4 GHz band or about the original 900MHz band wireless multiplexers. If you have an application for which the multiplexer could offer a solution, or to discuss your specific application, contact Data-Linc via phone (425) 882-2206 Pacific Coast Time or
FastLinc Family of 802.11b modems receives FCC Grant
The FastLinc Family is the latest addition to Data-Linc's broad array of modems known for their highly reliable performance in challenging industrial environments. FastLinc provides fast, high-speed wireless Ethernet connectivity and supports wireless bridge point-to-point, point-to-multipoint and industrial access point modes for Wi-Fi compliant communications. Data-Linc selected by Volpe Industries, Inc. to help increase Homeland SecurityData-Linc was recently chosen to supply the critical Ethernet radio modems used in Homeland Security applications by Volpe Industries, Inc. Data-Linc modems will be used to communicate with municipal water treatment plants, pump stations, reservoirs, power plants, remote oil rigs and any remote Homeland location that may be currently vulnerable. Volpe Industries specializes in remote video surveillance solutions with equipment specifically designed for remote, unmanned situations where security is a concern. Data-Linc modems were selected because the finely tuned circuitry produces the longest distance of transmission available as well as the superior data integrity. See the Volpe Industries security application diagram in our Security section. Data-Linc Ethernet radio modems interface with PLCs for shipbuilding HSLT frame crane control in China Data-Linc wireless Ethernet modems provide reliable, cost-effective data communication for an oversized component shipbuilding application. Data needed to be transferred between two central monitoring/control stations and the new-concept HSLT (Hydraulic Synchronizing Lifting Technique) crane. The greatest challenge was to send and receive data in spite of electric sparking and RF interference. In addition to overcoming the inherent and imposed interference, the installation required error-free continuous operation 24 hours a day for five successive days at a time. (See application note and diagram.) |

Data-Linc license-free radio modems the first choice for video data transferWhether for private industry or national security, Data-Linc Group's license-free wireless Ethernet and serial radio modems meet the demanding requirements of video data transfer. Because Data-Linc's serial radio modems can transmit data up to 35 miles line-of-sight (wireless Ethernet modems at up to 25 miles line-of-sight). Both ranges can be extended with Repeaters or directional antennas and, because they provide an exceptional level of data integrity and security, the Data-Linc modems are recognized as the best choice for data communication in critical areas from private industry to state and federal government as well as military installations.
