The Data-Linc FDM7000 Industrial Fiber Optic Modem can be used at ranges up to 2 miles. They can be configured for point-to-point with no field settings or jumpers to adjust as the FDM7000 comes pre-configured from the factory. Fiber optic cables from 50/125 to 80/125 are used with the modem. Operating temperature range is 32° to 140°F (0°C to 60°C). No baud rate settings are necessary, as the modem is transparent to baud rates from 0 to 115.2 Kbaud. The FDM7000 can be supplied with RS-232, RS-422/485 interface. LED indicators for Power, Data In and Data Out make system operation and diagnosis simple and easy.

The FDM7000 connects to communications equipment through the DB-9 connector on the Power/Data end of the modem.
