Fiber Optic Modem Applications
The FDM7000 fiber optic modem is ideal in applications where speed and optical isolation are required:
- Communication in power plants and other high-voltage areas
- Communication in hight EMI/RFI environments
- Control System needing long-range, high-speed data rates
Oil and Gas/Petrochemical— Conoco
Four 4-20 mA signals communicate full duplex over 2000 feet in high EMI environment using FDM7000 Fiber Optic Modems and A-A1000 RTU Multiplexers. (Please note that the DDAA Multiplexer has replaced the A-A1000.)
